Overview and some additional requirements for SPLA The Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA) allows Independent Software Vendors or service providers to license eligible Microsoft products (monthly basis). For a three-year agreement term, vendors host software services and applications for their users. Moreover, the SPLA supports a variety of hosting scenarios to help provide highly customized solutions to end-users. Furthermore, you can also make SPLA Reports via Powershell which is a very effective way. To participate in the SPLA program, you need to follow these things: •Comply with Services Provider Use Rights or SPUR The SPUR states some rights and conditions that should be followed by a customer while the use of the products is licensed under the SPLA. •Provide monthly reporting Also, you need to submit a monthly use report or zero use report (non-consecutive) to your SPLA reseller. It is also required to report on all licenses that you made available to your end-users for your software services resellers. All reporting is done in a particular SPLA Reporting Template.

  2. •Provide technical support It is the responsibility of service providers to provide technical product support for the Microsoft licensed products they deliver to their users. Octopus Cloud tools are recommended for better SPLA license management.
