Student Philanthropy Models • Indirect Model • Students review RFP’s submitted to corporate foundation and make recommendations • Direct Model • Minimum $1,000 award • Must be given to nonprofit or government agency • Students make decisions regarding who receives the award
Template for Direct Model • Narrow down topic or issue want to focus on • Students select nonprofits • Reflection – course assignments & award ceremony • Few rules and broad guidelines allow implementation across variety of disciplines
