Week 6 Results Heuristic Evaluation In order to evaluate our prototype in a systematic manner, we felt Heuristic Evaluation method would be appropriate. Heuristic Evaluation is a popular inspection method, which is useful when trying to find usability problems. As part of an Iterative Design Process, the problems and errors found during the Heuristic Evaluation should be taken into account. Any other feedback and observations made during this process should provide inspiration for the next iteration of the design cycle.
Week 6 Potato Masher Evaluation • Questions: • How durable is it? • How good does it look? • How easy is it to use? • How lumpy will the potato be at the end • How comfortable is the handle • Is it too big to store easily? • How easy is it to clean? Masher 1 is the best, it is durable, comfortable, has a fine mashing mesh and is easy to use The other 3 mashers are all plastic and are much less durable. Number 3 is by far the worst, it is uncomfortable and very flimsy. Number 4 will make very lumpy mash as the mesh isn’t small enough.
