For the students taking an assessment test, the teacher of the student must be endorsed in at least one assessment in order to give any assessment to their students. Exemption: Workplace Readiness Skills Test
CTE Credential Beginning with first-time ninth grade students in the 2013-2014school year, requirements for the standard diploma shall include a requirement to earn a Board-approved career and technical education credential, that could include, but not be limited to, the successful completion of an industry certification, a state licensure examination, a national occupational competency assessment, or the Virginia workplace readiness skills assessment.
WRS Assessment Each workplace readiness skill is included in the Task and Competency list for every CTE course. VERSO(http://cteresource.org/verso2/search) Material includes: • Definitions of the skills • Process/Skill Questions • Related Standards of Learning • Instructional Resources All 21 skills are essential and must be taught.

DECA Membership/Economics and Personal Finance Class • The endorsement of the teacher teaching the class determines the primary CTSO membership option for the student. • After joining primary CTSO, student then can also join the secondary CTSO. Teacher is: • Marketing endorsed: primary CTSO will be DECA • Business endorsed: primary CTSO will be FBLA • Dual endorsed: primary CTSO is what the teacher prefers
