Where Have All the Children Gone?Joseph Kerschbaum • I chose this song because of what the song means. The song tells a story about children going missing, and not being looked for or found. This song would play at the beginning of the movie when they are panning over the ghost town, and showing how nobody is there, and they are missing. In my book, this song would work with the scene at the beginning, when we are learning about the city and why tit is the way it is.
Nightmare Avenged Sevenfold • I chose this song for many reasons. One reason is that it is telling that you are living in a nightmare, and that is exactly what the United States was, a nightmare. If this was in the Empire movie, it would be played multiple times. One scene, at the beginning would be when we, the audience, encounter our first killing of a human, In my book, this song would be played when the human we first meet is killed at the beginning of the book.
Halloween (Theme)John Carpenter • I chose this song for one reason only, and that was the rotter's. Since this song is played when a killer is there or near, this song would fit when the rotter’s are there or near, since they are your killer in the book. Therefore, this song would be played when a rotter, that is going to strike, is near or there. This also worked in my book for the same reason, and the same scenes.
Welcome to the FamilyAvenged Sevenfold • When we first met Lily, I my book, her family didn’t sound normal, or even sounded like they were all there. Since this song talks about being welcomed to a twisted family, it worked perfectly when meeting Lily and her “family.” They weren’t right, but they were in their own mind, because they favored certain children than others, and Lily was I the others spot. In my book, this song came into my head when I meet her family.
This is HalloweenMarilyn Manson • This song isn’t just about Halloween, but about fear. This song is talking about all the things or items that scare us. That is just what the rotter’s, and some people, in my book was. They were scary to us, and the people in my book. This song would played when we meet certain rotter’s, such as the clown rotter, or the animal rotter’s. This song also works with those scenes, with the clown and animals, in my book.
HauntedEvanescence • This song talks about how she is haunted about what the world has become. She is also saying on how she was about to give up, but she didn’t. That describes the middle scene in my book, right before they got ready to pack up and get ready to fight. That would be the song that would play, in the movie, when they are talking about how they want to give up, but Mark tells them not to.
For Whom the Bell TollsMetallica • When I hear this song, I think of getting ready to die, or knowing you are about to die. This song plays during the scene right before they go outside, during the packing and getting ready to fight. They would be packing everything up, gathering everybody up, and leaving the shelter. Also, they would hear a bell as they leave. That is the scene from my book, and the movie.
21 GunsGreen Day • Even though this song is about the military, it also talks about what was done is done. I heard this song in my head, while reading the book, after the big fight, with all the rotter’s. This song would play when they come out of the underground passage, after the fight. Also, this song would be one of the two songs that would be played at the credits.
HurricaneTheory of a Deadman • This song is a sad song, and talking about be sad and missing people. This song go greatly with Lily, and many other people. At some point in the book, somebody missed somebody else, but Lily was a character that missed somebody the most, and that was her real parents. This song would play when she find out what happened to her parents, and when she thinks about them. This song would play in my book and movie at those same scenes.
Don’t Fear the ReaperBlue Oyster Cult • While this song may not sound like it would belong in my movie, it would. While in the beginning of the book, we are taught to fear the Reaper, because he is mad because nobody is killing. But by the end, you learn that the Reaper is a nice guy, and was only mad because he could do his job, and that was to help people leave their bodies after death. This song would be play at the end, when we learn that the reaper is a nice guy, both in the movie and my book.
