  2. Why I am afraid of Wasps • They are poisonous • They are very big and scary looking • They can chase after you • They are fast so if you try to run they’ll sting you • When they sting you it hurts alot! • Their hives can have at least 100 wasps in them

  3. Facts about Wasps • Most wasps are poisonous so be careful! • The most poisonous wasp is The Asian Giant Wasp • There are two types of wasps Social and Solitary • They don’t attack you unless you disturb them • Wasps can grow up to 5.5cm long

  4. Symptoms of a Wasp sting • Pain • Burning sensation • Blister formation (in some cases) • Swelling • Itching • Nausea • Headache

  5. What to do if you get stung by a Wasp • Inspect the stung area daily • Keep the area clean and dry to prevent infection • If the sting begins to itch then you may want to ask your doctor if you can take a medication for itching • You may need a tetanus shot if you haven't had one in 10 or more years • If you get stung and you have any difficulty talking or breathing, or you feel like your tongue is swelling or your throat is closing get medical help immediately

  6. Details for this project • Approximately 2 hours per day for 3 days • Used Wikipedia and other internet information web sites • Had to learn how to make a power point presentation • Borrowed my Aunt’s laptop that included Microsoft Power Point Program
