Current WASH Strategy • Lead in with sanitation, then water • Based on behaviour change, CLTS methodology; hh and community leadership participation • Handwashing key to disease control, also based on behaviour change • Capacity building of WASHCOs to ensure waterpoint maintenance and sustainability • Capacity building of artisan groups to supply spare parts and maintenance services • Use of Multi Point water systems to achieve scale and cost efficiency • Innovation

Next Steps • WASH strategy revision on going, workshop held in March 9-16 will be finalized on june • Integrate fully WASH strategy with CARE Moz Impact Group focus • Raise funds to maintain transformation momentum Specifics: • Attention to impact group access to sanitation through key aspects such as schoolgirl menstrual hygiene • Innovation to reduce costs of sustainable access to clean water and diversify available options
