  3. 2. investigation • Parishes - Parish identity and distinctives - Where is there growth/ key opportunities in your context? - How are you getting on with the diocesan vision/ values? - Do you have any dreams or plans for a FXC? - Where are your key relationships – ecum/ parish/orgs - How any 20-40’s worship regularly? - Your lay leadership

  4. 2. investigation • Process - Letter/explanation / proforma - 2020 team meet with incumbent + - by 5th April • 2020 Deanery Team Trends in the city – researching context Meet with each parish incumbent (+) Collate research and prepare initial findings

  5. 3. Report • Wednesday 1st May • Consultation with deanery parish leadership (incumbent + 2) - Share findings - Identify main issues to explore further

  6. 4. options explored • 4th May – 7th June • 2020 Deanery team meet with parish leadership again to talk through options that are emerging and get further feedback • Parishes discuss any issues that are live for them in relation to the options • Draft plan prepared by 2020 Deanery team for July Synod

  7. 5. tweaking • 10th July dedicated synod where plan is outlined • Work to prioritise posts for 80% / 100% / 120% plans

  8. 6. final plan • 2020 Deanery team produce the final plan: checking against criteria, providing background information and justifications for decisions • Timescale: Submission to Chief Executive by 26 August Bishops Council 11 September Diocesan Synod 19 October
