  1. Assessment Network Advances for a Successful Test Administration IAA

  2. Formerly Known As SchoolHouse™ • Pearson’s PEM Solutions Assessment Network (formerly known as SchoolHouse™) has come a long way in the past three years. It has evolved and continues to evolve into more than a storage center of information. • Pearson’s PEM Solutions Assessment Network is a web-based conduit to a wealth of information to advance a successful ISAT and IAA test administration.

  3. Purpose of Today’s Session • The purpose of today’s training session is not to address the specifics of the ISAT and IAA 2008 test administrations, these matters are better left to the experts at the Illinois State Board of Education. • Today’s session is to provide you with an in-depth look at how to successfully use Pearson’s Assessment Network to acquire the necessary tools (test materials) to have a successful Spring 2008 ISAT and IAA test administration.

  10. Communication is KEY If you have students that receive instruction at a facility other then their Home School, and you want to receive that student’s ISAT or IAA test material directly from Pearson, COMMUNICATION is essential.

  11. Home School District SIS Administrator The entire process starts with a student’s Home School District uploading their 2007-08 school year student ENROLLMENT information into ISBE’s SIS. SIS = Student Information System Complete and accurate information is essential. This is the Home School District’s responsibility!

  12. From a Student’s Pre-ID Record • Home School • Serving School • Testing School Essential For Reporting Essential For Test Material Distribution

  13. Testing School District & School • TESTING SCHOOLshould be where the student is scheduled to take the ISAT or IAA Spring 2008 test. This is where your pre-ID labels and test materials will be sent.

  16. IMPORTANT Home School Districts should be entering 2007-08 Student Enrollments into SIS NOW! As a reminder, as students enroll and exit throughout the school year, you should upload these changes to SIS. As soon as you have enrolled students on SIS you can begin validating pre-ID information. Refer to: http://www.isbe.net/sis/default.htm or call the Illinois State Board of Education HELP Desk at 217-558-3600 for SIS information or question.

  17. Pre-ID Link Reports Link

  18. DEADLINE FOR COMPLETING YOUR 2007-08 SCHOOL YEAR PRE-ID INFORMATION IN SIS Thursday, January 10, 2008 Refer to: http://www.isbe.net/sis/default.htm or call the Illinois State Board of Education HELP Desk at 217-558-3600 for SIS information or question.

  19. Key Material Distribution Elements Aside from a complete and accurate student record, there are two (2) key elements that Pearson will look at to determine where test materials will be shipped. • Testing School District &Testing School • Test To Be Taken

  20. Testing School District & School • TESTING SCHOOLshould be where the student is scheduled to take the ISAT or IAA Spring 2008 test. This is where your pre-ID labels and test materials will be sent.

  21. Test Material Distribution When it comes time for Pearson to build distribution files for test material distribution, there are differences in the way the files are built for ISAT and IAA.

  22. IAA Test Coordinators WILL NOT be entering INITIAL Spring 2008 test material quantities into Pearson’s Assessment Network. Important IAA

  23. IAA Distribution of Spring 2008 IAA test materials is determined exclusively from SIS. • Able to view Spring 2007 material distribution totals on Assessment Network. (Prev). * Unlike ISAT, there will be no calculated test material overage added to these orders.

  24. This edit does not apply to IAA. • Pearson will contact the ISAT Test Coordinator in these situations and advise them that they will not be getting a test material order from Pearson because there were no student records indicating them as the Testing School in the SIS (pre-ID) file Pearson received from ISBE.  • ISAT Test Coordinator will then be instructed to contact their local SIS administrator and/or ISBE’s HELP desk if they believe this is in error. • If this scenario occurs you will not be permitted to place an order for additional test materials without the expressed permission from the Illinois State Board of Education.

  25. This edit does not apply to IAA. • Pearson will generate 50 pre-ID student labels plus and additional 25% Testing School Labels (13), for a total of 63 pre-identification labels.  • Pearson will then automatically adjust the order for the educational unit for 65.

  26. This applies to ISAT only. • DO NOT INFLATE YOUR TEST MATERIAL ORDERS. • Only order test materials for the number of students you plan on testing. • Will receive a 7-10% test material overage (based on your designation) with your test material orders.

  27. Additional Orders • ISAT – February 8, 2008 • IAA – February 26, 2008

  28. Additional Orders • Additional test material orders will be sent to the same destination point in-care-of the ISAT or IAA Test Coordinator, as your initial test material shipment. • Additional test material orders must be placed at least 72 hours prior to your first day of testing. • Additional test materials in by 1 p.m. (CDT), shipped the same day. • The additional test material ordering process is for “Additional” test materials, not initial test material orders. • Only order test materials for the number of students you plan on testing. • One additional order please.

  29. Test Material Tracking & Confirmation • Track test material shipments from and back to Pearson. • Confirm your test material shipment. • Obtain copies of your packing lists.
