  2. Michael as a Child • Michael was christened “Michael Daniel Higgins” • He was born on April 18th 1941 • He is now 70 years old! • Michael was born in Limerick.

  3. Education • He was educated at Ballycar National School, Co. Clare; St. Flannan's College, Ennis; University College Galway (UCG); Indiana University; and Manchester University.

  4. His Job before President • In his academic career, he was a Statutory Lecturer in the Department of Political Science and Sociology at University College Galway and was a Visiting Professor at Southern Illinois University.
