  2. Hardscrabble • adj : yielding little by great labor; working very hard for a small reward • Example: He had a very hardscrabble life, working long hours for the coal mine.

  3. Disgruntled • adj : in a state of sulky dissatisfaction, unhappy • Example: The puppy was in a disgruntled mood after being punished for chewing up the pillows.

  4. Euphoria • n : A feeling of great happiness or well-being. • Example: I was in a state of euphoria after passing my driving test.

  5. Bucolic • adj : Of or characteristic of the countryside or its people; rustic • Example: The picture of the old barn was very bucolic.
