Costs • Using Wind Power has low and convenient cost. • To have a windmill or wind device placed at your home costs between 900- 1500 dollars. • Anyone who uses this natural source is estimated to receive somewhere between 3,000 and 5,000 dollars each year. Lindsey Daniels
Positive Aspects • Wind energy is clean and has no harm to the environment • Some people find the sight of a windmill to be a beautiful sight to have in their yards • We will never run out of wind, so we never have to worry about not having energy for tomorrow • Wind energy has a very lost cost so many people could begin to use it. Negative Aspects • Birds often fly into the windmills causing them to die, this is most common during migration times • The noise that they produce can cause people to become very annoyed (loud humming) • On the other side of things, some people find them to be very ugly Lindsey Daniels

Ideal location in the US • The most ideal locations for wind energy to be set up in the US happen to fall mainly on the West coast, and even more so in Alaska. • Wind energy is most popular in Alaska because they have fast moving winds; between 15 and 21 mph. Lindsey Daniels
Available in our state/community • Wind energy in Minnesota happens to be one of the highest in the country. • Falling right behind Iowa, Texas and Cali • MN is known as the pioneer for the Midwest’s energy for around the last 20 years or so. • Wind energy is available to anyone and is very popular to see in backyards Lindsey Daniels
