  1. Rollercoaster Rampage • Alton Towers are building a new rollercoaster!! • The riders are going to be strapped into a giant sphere and tumble down, by the force of gravity – an all-round experience!

  2. Rollercoaster Rampage • However there are planning restrictions at the Alton Towers site. The ride cannot exceed a maximum height. • The ride needs to last for 60 seconds – long enough to be fun, quick enough to keep the queues down and make it exciting

  3. Your Challenge • Alton Towers wants you to design their new ride! • You have to build a rollercoaster ride that LASTS FOR 60 seconds • The maximum height of your model is 31cm (as high as one piece of A4 paper) • You will model the sphere with a marble • You should also come up with a name/logo etc for your ride. Decorations are good.

  4. Rules • No Half Pipes • Must fit onto a base of 50cm x 50cm
