We will travel by train! Roundtrip is $36 We will depart from Mattoon On July 5, 2010
We will stay at the Drake Hotelon the Magnificent Mile! Hotel for two nights is $135 per person (This price is based on 4 people/room)
We will Attend the U2 360 Tour! This will be performed at Soldier Field on July 6, 2010 at 7 PM The price of the ticket is approx. $110
We will tour the City on City Pass! The cost of the City Pass is $69
Meals 10 oz Holy Cow Burger at Harry Caray’s $10.95 Average Cost for 3 Meals/Day for 3 days = approx. $135
Transportation • Everything will be within walking distance. • Cab Service is $3-6 per person/trip • CTA is $14 per person for 3 Day Pass
Total Trip Expenses • Amtrak $36 Roundtrip • Drake Hotel $135 per person for 2 nights (This is based on4 people/room) • U2 360 Concert Ticket $110 per person • City Pass $69 per person • Meals approx. $135 • CTA $14 per person for 3 days • Grand Total =$499 per person
Procedures &Payment Plan • You will need to discuss this trip with your parents/guardians and have them sign a provided waiver. This is NOT a school sponsored trip! • You will need to sign up for the trip and make a down payment of at least $100 by 4/30/2010. • It is necessary that we provide each other with contact information in order to handle payment transactions and other important details. • You will need to have paid for the balance of the trip’s cost by June 21st.
How Can I Finance This Trip? • Babysit, Petsit, or Housesit for a Friend or Neighbor • Post a flyer offering odd jobs or yard work • Save your allowance each week • Have a rummage sale • Take on a paper route or summer job • Detassle corn • Have a car wash • Clean houses, do laundry, or prepare meals for the elderly • Sell something at a consignment shop or pawn shop • Solicit donations from family and friends • Use birthday, graduation, or other gift money
