What we Know About Bears • We know that bears are that not all black bears are black white, brown etc. • Also we know that there is at least 5 different kinds of bears • We know that bears will attack if they are threatened or harmed • Bears usually live near ponds,waterfalls, or any area around water because they love to eat fish

  3. Famous Bears Names and Facts • Bart- Bart is a 9 foot 6 inch, 1,500-pound Kodiak Bear who starred in a 1989 movie “The Bear” • Douce- Douce is a young cub who was Bart's cub in the movie • Ella-Ella was the first bear in history to ever learn and ride a bike

  4. How Bart Learned How to Take Care of a Cub Bart learned how to take care of a cub named Douce by, practicing with a teddy bear. Each time Bart had kissed or licked the teddy, he was praised. Each time Bart beats the teddy he doesn’t get praised.

  5. Males vs. Females • Males are more aggressive then females • Males also pay more attention then females do • Females are always following their instincts • Females also are more protective then males are

  6. Bearly Balance Ella was the first bear to ride a bike. First, her owner used a stationary bike. Any time she touches the bike she gets praised. Then a couple months later she learned how to hold on to the handle bars. She finally learned how to get on the seat and pedal. Then she moved on to a real bike. That’s how she learned how to balance on a bike.

Train or Tame? • Bears are the most dangerous wild animals in the world, while we thought that lions and tigers were • People that work with bears think that they are completely intelligent • Even though they are intelligent the are hard to tame but easy to train • In the movie “Bear” Bart had an electrified wires to mark his territory in the movie
