  2. A detectives absolute most important job is to uncover clues and evidence to make determinations and discoveries.

  3. Detectives constantly go to crime scenes, interview witnesses, and review lab reports and suspect profiles.

  4. Detectives can have different levels of education, from a high school diploma to a college degree or maybe even higher.

  5. There is a huge difference in what a detective does, first depending on the size of the department, and secondly depending on their assignment.
