  2. Introduction Night markets are very popular in Taiwan. Foods, clothes, and many kinds of things are sold there. Among them, snacks are something you can’t miss. There are a variety of snacks in night markets, such as pepper cakes, oyster omelets, stinky tofu, etc. Their special and tasty flavors attract both locals and foreign tourists. The following are some delicious snacks we love most.

  3. Fuzhou pepper cakes The place of origin : Fuzhou, China Ingredients : pork, green onion, white sesame, black pepper and flour Texture : crispy, juicy and delicious Tips on yummy pepper cakes: (1) Dip pork in 10 kinds of seasonings for 12 hours. (2) Set the oven to 195°C.

  5. Oyster omelette An oyster omelette is a Chinese dish which originated in Fujian. It is also popular in places with Fujianese. An oyster omelettes is different from a western one. Cassava is mixed into the egg batter. When frying the mixture, oysters and vegetable are put on the omelette. It is usually served with soy sauce and spicy sauce.

  8. Stinky tofu Stinky tofu is fermented tofu, which, as the name suggests, has a strong odor. It would be soaked in the liquid of Chinese medicine. Some people feel it disgusting, while some are crazy about its smell. Stinky tofu are usually served with spicy pickled cabbage on the side. Stinky tofu can be eaten cold, steamed, stewed, or most commonly, deep fried.

  10. Sausage In night markets, tasting grilled sausages is a must. Taiwanese sausages are unique in several ways. Taiwanese eat grilled sausages with cloves of garlic. Garlic is a nice match with sausages. Can you imagine chocolate flavored, wasabi flavored and coffee flavored sausages? We still have corn sausages and peanut sausages. Just let you imagination go wild. We have whatever sausage you can think of.
