Transportation Security Administration (TSA) • Aviation Security Advisory Committee (ASAC) – re-appointed • Past Chair of Risk Based Screening Subcommittee • Improved PreCheck Program • Regular meetings and conversations with the Administrator and key staff • TSA PreCheck™ Marketing group • GBTA engaged with a small private group to offer solutions and fix the issues with the TSA PreCheck™ program

U.S. Travel and Tourism Advisory Board • Advisory panel to United States Government • Developing private sector solutions for government travel issues • Offers counsel on current and emerging issues, and provides a forum for discussing and proposing solutions to industry-related problems • Led by Dept. of Commerce Penny Pritzker and Dept. of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson • Other agencies include: Dept. of State, Dept. of Interior, and Dept. of Transportation Penny Pritzker Jeh Johnson

  7. Department of Defense (DoD) • Meeting with Defense Travel Management Office • Invited over to discuss Private Sector Best Practices • DOD striving to travel smarter in lieu of travel cuts • Leveraging buying power • Increased compliance

  8. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) • Cell Phones on a plane Issue: • “Silence is golden” Dept. of Transportation comments • FCC filing with industry group raises safety and security concerns with the proposed rule • FCC timetable is unclear
