  2. Community PharmacyQuality and Outcomes Framework ·Offered to all Community Pharmacy contractors  ·Follows a similar format to the GP QOF ·Voluntary

  3.   Must complete and return a signed aspiration list and agreement form by 12th March • ·Each indicator has a point value ·25 Indicators in total - do not have to aspire to all indicators

  4. ·Each point is worth £90 per average pharmacy ·Average pharmacy is based on the average number of items dispensed in Doncaster in 2006/7 i.e. 81,000 ·An advance/aspirational payment will be made based on 50% of the anticipated achievement  

  5. ·The PCT will undertake QOF review visits to each pharmacy contractor between November 2008 and February 2009 and separate from any contract review visits. ·Some indicators will be reviewed at the visit and some require evidence to be submitted one month in advance ·Following the review visit there will be a report agreed with the contractor which details achievement and any outstanding actions or evidence required

  6. ·Contractors will have until 31st March to submit any final evidence/prove achievement ·The achievement results will be shared with the Professional Executive Committee and the Trust Board. The results are therefore likely to be in the public domain ·The GP QOF is subject to a random fraud check and the PCT will select at random one pharmacy to be part of that process. ·Payment is to be made by BACS

  7. Example of Aspiration Payment   Smiths pharmacy aspires to 83 points   Items Dispensed 2006/7 105,813   Aspiration payment 83 points x £90 x 105,813 __________ 81,000  = £9,735  50% = £4,867 Payment to be made in March 2007

  8. Example Final QOF Payment Calculation Smiths pharmacy Achieved 91 points (N B greater than aspiration) Items dispensed 108,403 (February 2008 to January 2009)  Final payment 91 x £90 x 108,403 ________ 81,000 = £10,948.70 Less aspirational payment £4,867 paid 3/08 Final payment = £ 6,081.70

  9.  Timetable Launch 12 February 2008 Pharmacy contractor confirm aspiration and return signed agreement form no later than 12th March 2008 PCT pays 50% of aspiration March 2008 Agree date for review visit August 2008

  10. Some evidence to be submitted one month in advance of visit. Review Visit undertaken Nov 08 - Feb 2009 Report produced 2 weeks post visit  Outstanding evidence by31st March 2009 Balance Payment 30th April 2009
