  5. Graduation Rates • USED approved 6-year rate • AYP order • 4 year graduation rate • 5 year graduation rate • 6 year graduation rate • graduation improvement

  6. Graduation Improvement • 80 - previous 4 year rate = gap • Gap x 0.25 + previous 4 year rate = Improvement Target • Improvement Target >= Current 4 year rate

  7. Grad. Improvement Example • Current rate = 63% • Previous rate = 60% • 80 – 60 = 20 (gap) • (20 x 0.25) + 60 = 65 (target) • 65 >= 63 ?

  8. Sending Scores Back • 2010-11 school year • Scores sent to resident LEA from SEE • Only for AYP purposes • Data remains for various other reporting functions

  9. Shared Educational Entities • Cooperative agreement from sending districts • Established by fall count date each year • SEE type (alt. ed./spec. ed./other)

  10. Cooperative Agreements • Approved by MDE/OEAA • CEPI establishes SEE in EEM • MSDS submitted with SEE code as building code • MSDS must also contain resident district codes

  11. AYP and Reporting • Data sent to resident district used for AYP purposes only • Assessments will continue to be administered at operating district • Data remains at educating entity for other Federal and State reporting purposes

  12. AYP and Reporting cont’d • Data sent back to only the district level – therefore only district level AYP is influenced • SEE will continue to receive building level assessment and graduation reports

  13. Other • Schools of Choice students are not included in Sending Scores Back • Scores only sent from a SEE • Unique Educational Providers should not be testing students (adult ed./early childhood)
