Cantilever Beam The cantilever beam system is a 2nd order system, while the RC filter we are controlling in this lab is a 1st order system. Both of these systems display damped oscillations when presented with step forcing. With the addition of this controller, we create from the first-order filter a more complicated (higher-order) system with a response resembling the 2nd order beam system.
