  7. in1776 the Spanish immigrated and settled down here. • in 1821 it belonged to Mexico but turned over to the US in 1846. • in 1848the nearby regions discovered the gold ore. • in 1906 big earthquake, nearly the entire city were destroyed, later rapidly reconstruction.

  8. In the 19th century san francisco was the American gold rush centre. Gold rush

  9. in 1848 the gold were discovered , the immigrant raised the gold rush. Many Chinese people achievement “the indentured laborer” came here to dig the gold ore, built a railroad, and lived in a difficult life.

  10. The gold rush promoted the US to the western territorial expansion and the development. • It has the significant effect on the US's politics and the economic life .
