  6. Using imagery to write poetry • Describe the picture and your impressions • Who or what would you like to be in your poem? You can be non-human, like a tree, a person in the painting, or an onlooker • Describe what you can see, smell, touch, taste and hear. Use as much descriptive language (imagery) as you can! • Reflect on how you feel. Are you happy? Sad? Angry? Excited? Why? • Speculate on your plans for the future
