Ingredients • 8 ounces uncooked elbow macaroni
Ingredients • 2 cups (16 ounces) shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Ingredients • 1/4 cup butter
Ingredients • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Ingredients • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
Roux • a cooked mixture of flour and fat • Roux’s are the base of most sauces. • Roux is French.
Team Macaroni-- • Put 4 cups of water in a pot. Turn heat to Hi. • When water is boiling, carefully put in macaroni. Let cook until tender. Be sure to watch the pot in case it boils over. If it boils over, turn the heat down.
Team Roux: 3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. 4. Pour in flour, partner whisks constantly. 5. Add milk to roux slowly, stirring constantly.
Team Cheese: • 6. Carefully Shred Cheese. • 7. Stir cheese into the roux and milk mixture. • 8. Cook over low heat until cheese is melted and the sauce is a little thick.
Team Combine Team: • 9. Put macaroni in large casserole dish, and pour sauce over macaroni. Stir well. • 10. Evenly spread breadcrumbs over the macaroni and cheese to cover. • 11. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes. Serve.
