  2. 21st century teaching skills I will incorporate following skills into my teachings: Questioning skills to encourage creative thinking in students. Use of technology for preparing lectures, assignments and students profiles. Project based learning to cultivate communication skills and intellectual Curiosity Encourage students through certificates./award Listening and speaking skills to give space to students for better expression

  3. LONG TERM GOALS To apply 21st century teaching approaches to encourage students to get conceptual approach for problem solving in chemistry

  4. SHORT TERM GOALS 1.To be a facilitator during my lectures than an old fashioned teacher. 2. To give more chances to students to express themselves. 3. To create active participation in students 4. To help students really understand chemistry

INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES • I will ask some brain storming questions to bring • the students thinking into action. • I will arrange groups for giving presentations • I will provide them handouts • I will ask questions that have more than one co correct answer and require critical thinking. • I will arrange quizzes and viva on regular basis to • strengthen the interest for research

Solutions to Anticipated Challenges Challenges • It will take long duration so my course might not be completed. • Some students may feel shy in group discussion. • Availability of computer lab Solutions • I will designemy lesson effectively by applying time management techniques. • I will encourage students to participate in discussion • IWillarrange computer lab with the help of computer science department • .

  8. CONCLUSION A good teacher makes you think even when you don’t want to. During the coming year I will prove to be 21st century teacher. who guides students towards creative and high level thinking.
