Bass Strait Site – Jason-2 Preparations underway for Jason-2 cal-val Similar methodology planned: GPS buoys and longer term mooring deployments offshore from tide gauge and CGPS. National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) has funded 100+ CGPS sites for deployment in Australia (2007 -). Australian tide gauge sites high on the priority list. Burnie to get inland CGPS in addition to TG CGPS. NCRIS has also partly funded an equipment test of the FLTRS system at the Bass Strait site (2007/08). We look forward to this collaboration with our French colleagues. Currently planning logistics, site selection etc. Pg 9 of 11
