Hestia the Goddess • She became thegoddess of hearth • She was gentle, peaceful, and pure. • Didn’t take sides in war or arguments • The first part of every sacrifice was handed to her • Represented personal security, happiness, and the sacred duty of hospitality • When someone left home she sent hearth • She is the most kindest most gentle goddess of all • It was hard to make fire • And I was one of the original gods butDionysus too Hestias place

  3. Hestia’s Family • Parents: Cronus&Rhea • Brothers: Zues,Hades,&Poseidon • Sisters: Hera,&Demeter • Facts of family: • She ordered Zues to let no one force her to marry. Not even Cupid or Aphrodite could make her fall in love.I refused to marry Poseidon & Apollo • Zues saved Hestia from Cronus stomach • Im the oldest out of my sibligs • Im a virgin goddess • I sawZuesfrightful and a maniac • My sibligs became supreme

Why she was important to people • Everybody felt comfort around her • They knew Hestia was looking over their families • Everytime someone left their home she sent hearth • Important god because before hearth was the center of the family • Never took sides in arguments • Every city in the ancient greece had a sacred hearth dedicated to her and a flame that never went out • Im the gentle most kindest goddess of all

  5. She nearly never left mount olypics • She no distant personality • She had no part in myths • She was a virgin goddess • She invented houses • She tends the hearth of mount olympics • I didn’t interfere with mortals • But the most important is that nobody can roast marshmellows like me Symbol
