Hestia, Athenian red-figure kylix C5th B.C. I choose this image for Hestia because of the way the Romans and Greeks depicted her. She is shown wearing a toga and holding flowers looking calm. First is that Hestia is holding flowers which is a symbol and attribute of hers. Second she is wearing a toga a common apparel worn by Greeks and Romans. This is why I choose this image for Hestia.
I choose this image for Hestia because of its way it incorporates modern and ancient depictions of Hestia. First Hestia is sitting next to the hearth which is a attribute and a symbol of Hestia. Second she is wearing a toga which was commonly worn throughout Greece and Rome. Third she is sitting by the hearth which symbolizes that she will never leave the hearth or home. This is why I choose this image for Hestia.
