Who am I ? Summery • Every part of my being stems from some part of my cultural experience, as did my parents, and the generations before. • As a child I developed values and morals from my family, who most influenced me. • As a older child the dominating societies had effects and confirmed my parents values to be true. • In adolescents America’s values impacted me. • Everything listed in the power point is who I am. • Now in adulthood, I do hold true to these values and moral; however, with education I realize they are not always what they appear. • There is a lot of biases and unjustness to which the influences occurred, and do not apply to everyone even if they are societies beliefs. • For this reason I challenge myself to be open-minded. • I realize that each individual will encompass their own identity from their unique cultural environment.
