  2. What is a Food Chain? A food chain shows the feeding relation between organisms in an ecosystem. Producers Herbivores Carnivores Decomposers

  3. Producers Plants that get their food from the sun’s energy and act as a source of food for other organisms in an ecosystem.

  4. Herbivores An animal that eats plants rather than other animals

  5. Carnivores An animal that eats meat.

  6. Decomposers • An organism, like bacteria, that breaks down dead plant or animal matter and releases their nutrients back into the soil.
