  2. Overview on Blood Cancer Most blood cancers start in the bone marrow, in which the normal blood cell development process is interrupted by uncontrolled growth of an abnormal type of blood cell. Blood cancers affect the production and function of your blood cells; they also prevent your immune system from fighting off infections or preventing serious bleeding.

  4. Types of Blood Cancer: Lymphoma: It occurs in lymph reticular system – lymph nodes Myeloma: This is a cancer of the white blood cells, also called plasma cells. Leukaemia: It is found in your blood and bone marrow and is caused by the rapid production of abnormal white blood cells.
