  2. About Slovenia Slovenia is a thriving European Union country bordering Germany, Austria, Italy, Hungary and Croatia. Formerly a part of Yugoslavia, Slovenia became a sovereign nation in 1991 and joined the European Union and Eurozone in the year 2005. and The capital and largest city of Slovenia is Ljubljana. The economy of Slovenia is small, open, and export-oriented.

  4. Business Sectors Tourism Tourism is one of the key and fastest growing sectors in the Slovenian economy. The Slovenian tourism industry contributes approximately 15% of the GDP. The sector also employs a huge percentage of active workforce.

  5. Business Sectors Real Estate Slovenian property market has given the maximum return YoY (year on Year) over the last 3 years in the entire European Union at 10.25% (inflation adjusted). The distant second place is the Netherlands at a growth rate of 2.1%. There is a high demand of housing and considerable shortage from supply side in the capital region Ljubljana and other touristic places such as Lake Bled, Mount Julian and Tiwlav National Park. The only tire manufacturer in the country is Sava Tires which is owned by Goodyear Dunlop Tires Europe.
