  2. Fact 1 The cheetah was formerly considered to be a cat and evolved approximately 18 million years ago.

  3. Fact 2 Cheetahs can accelerate four times as fast as a human.

  4. Fact 3 The adult cheetah weighs from 21 to 160 pounds.

  5. Fact 4 The cheetah’s paws have semi retractable claws known only in three other cat species: the fishing cat, the flat headed cat, and the Iriomote cat offering extra grip in it’s high speed pursuits.

  6. Fact 5 There are no spots on it’s white undersidebut the tail has spots.
