  5. Qualifying as a solicitor • Are you a qualified lawyer? • Can you do the QLTS? • Do you need to requalify? • Do you want to work in an English law firm? • Do you want to work here or in overseas office?

  6. Applying for training contracts • Large firms recruit 2 years ahead • Attend presentations • Apply for LPC no official deadline • Apply for training contract – deadline often July

  7. Applying for the Bar • Inns of Court scholarships • Apply for the BPTC – deadline January • Apply for mini pupillages if want to practise in UK
