How to Prioritize? • Make a list of all the tasks you need to complete. • Determine the RED tasks • Determine the YELLOW tasks • Determine the GREEN tasks
RED tasks • Tasks that must be down ASAP • Things that would significantly and negatively impact your life if they weren’t done. • Tasks that are completely time-bound • Examples: • Paying a bill that is due tomorrow • Studying for a test tomorrow • Missing homework • Missing tests
YELLOW tasks • Tasks that are important • Tasks that if not done soon would impact your life. • May have be less time-bound • Examples: • Completing homework due in a few days. • Paying a bill. • Mowing the lawn • Project for school that are due next week
GREEN tasks • Tasks that have a small impact on your life. • Tasks that are less important, less vital for your life to go well. • Examples: • Getting to the next level in Big Buck Hunter • Being first person in the lunch room • Completing an assignment that was due last year. • Painting your room
