Trepidation • Tre-pe-day-shen • Noun Other forms of the word: Adjective: trepid; trepiadatious • A Feeling of being alarm or dread; feeling nervous caused by a realization or an expectation of something that is going to happen in the future. • Trepidation caused the bride to ditch her wedding as she thought about her future with the man she was going to marry. • A good way to remember: • Trepidation and tremble both start with T-R • In trepidation the D-A-T are connected and can stand for DREAD.ALARM.TERROR

Unabashed • uhn-uh-basht • Adjective Other forms of the word: Adverb: unabashedly • Feeling confident and proud, not worrying about being criticized; shameless and not being embarrassed. • The contestant in The X Factor was unabashed about her horrible audition, instead she was happy and proud that she got to sing live on television and got to meet Simon Cowell. • A good way to remember: In the word unabashed it has the part of the word bashful and the U-N. So you can think of the opposite definition of bashful. UNaBASHed.

Restive • Res-tiv • Adjective • Other forms of the word: • Adverb: restively • Noun: restiveness • Being tense or impatient from a delay or from being bored; difficult to control from being dissatisfied; fidgety • The line to the rollercoaster was an hour wait causing everybody to be restive. • A good way to remember: • In the word restive it has the four letters of R-E-S-T the same letters that start with RESTaurant. Usually the food comes late or usually your impatient for the cooks to cook your food, that’s a sign of being restive.

Somnolence • Som-nuh-luh-nt Noun Other forms of the word: Adverb: somnolently • Adjective; somnolent • The state of being drowsy and feeling the need to fall asleep. • At the party everybody was dancing and was having a blast; there was least somnolence at the time. • A good way to remember: You can think of Sleepy from “ Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”. Also Sleepy, Snow White , and sleep all start with the letter S and so does somnolence.

Credulity • Kruh-doo-li-tee • Noun • Other forms of the word: Adjective: credulous Noun: credulousness; credulities • Ready to trust or to believe in something too easily; gullibility. • The credulity of children increased while seeing the magic show. • A good way to remember:The credulity of Sponge Bob and Patrick is huge.
