OWL • Using images helps students remember concepts. This is a standard template with text on the left and the image on the right. But with a little creativity…
OWL This is the same image as the previous slide. The image is made more visible by placing the slide’s title and text within the image itself, creating a more dynamic look.
Tips for creating slides: • 1) Use higher resolution images (> 100 kb) to allow it to stretch and maintain clarity. When using Google images, select “medium” size on the left-side options. • Send image to back (see next slide) • Insert text box; stretch text box and make partly transparent (see following slide) • Insert another text box for actual text; use at least 28 font for readability
After stretching image, right click anywhere on image; “send to back”
After inserting text box, right click text box, then format shape
