“Brush of Honor”- Artist Phil taylor Brush of Honor Video
Expressions of Freedom Project Your challenge is to respond to the following question: “What would someone of your generation say or do to honor and recognize American veterans?”
Project Guidelines Your project can be in one of the following categories: • Literature • Film Production • Musical Composition • Photography • Visual Arts
Literature What is a Veteran? By Lynn C. Price, 2008 • “Nana, what’s a Veteran? Is it true they’re boys and girls? Can they really fly like eagles?Do they live in different worlds?” • I looked down on my angel,So wise beyond six years;Brown eyes wide open in innocence,Still free from ‘grown up’ fears. • Hand in hand we wandered,Through scrapbooks old with age,Her tiny fingers tracingThe photos on every page. I told her many stories,How her family tree is blessed,With courageous men and women,Who proudly gave their best. I considered it an honorTo share with my grandchild,How Veterans are so precious,Tho’ ours for just a while. She ran up to her room,Then came slowly back downstairs.“I ‘pinky-squared’ this promise,To let every Veteran know I care. Tomorrow I’ll rememberTo share with all my friends,A Veteran’s heart is goldenAnd I’m so proud of each of them.” What else would be considered literature?
Film Production Veteran Animoto What else would be considered film production?
