  2. Recap from 2007 D&IA SIG Meeting:Standards for HCS Data Interchange Goals from last year’s meeting: • Form committee to develop standards • Publish/distribute draft Minimum Information Standard presented by Mark Collins, Cellomics (ThermoFisher) • Collect input from HCS user community, refine standard • Present proposed standard at 2008 DIA SIG meeting

  3. The ISAC (Re)Connection • ISAC has active Data Standards Task Force • Extensive experience with standards formulation • Have NIH grant to fund standards development • Current effort underway to extend FCS (flow-only standard) to more generalized “Analytical Cytometry Standard” (ACS) • Encompass imaging cytometry • Actively interested in input from HCS community

  4. The Obvious Synergy Experience with image-based assays Experience with standards development

  5. Proposed Path Cellomics Draft HCS Standard ISAC Standards Development Expertise ISAC Draft Requirements for ACS Input from other SBS standards efforts Requirements Document for HCS Data Interchange HCS Data Interchange Standard (possibly part of larger Analytical Cytomerty Standard)

  6. Moving Forward • ISAC leadership has given verbal commitment to support this collaboration on standards to the SBS leadership • Resurrect group formed from last DIA SIG meeting, add new interested parties • Adapt ISAC Requirements Document for HCS, publish to user community • Get buy-in from end-users, instrument providers, and software vendors
