What’s Happening • ID Wizard upgrade is part of main FIP system release • ID Wizard team comprised of legal and engineering members developed list of enhancements • Upgrade addresses primary causes of turnbacks • Improvements lead to increased usability
You Asked – We Listened! • Summary of Improvements • Increased font • Clarification of instructions/email notification • On screen definitions of certain terms and areas • Addition of “Save and Continue” • Removal of character restrictions on multi-line text fields • Ability to remove documents • Removal of witness requirement • Direct link to matter from messages • The following pages will provide additional detail on these changes
Increased Clarity Bigger Font Better Description Mouse-over functionality provides definitions
Save and Continue • Now you can save and continue working without being taken out of the matter. Saving frequently will prevent the loss of work due to unexpected time-outs
Technical Details Section Unlimited characters in all multi-line text boxes Unwanted documents can be deleted while in the drafting mode
Removal of Witness Requirement Only inventors are required to sign off on the invention disclosure.
Messages Link Directly to Matters No more hunting for the matter requiring your review. All messages now contain an active link directly to the matter and in some cases, directly to the activity where the documents are stored.
New Search Screen The Matter Search screen allows for multiple field searching using the new check boxes. While searches are still limited to only your matters, you have the ability to create more complex searches.
