Leuven Radar • Current activities • Preparation of maintenance contract with DHI • Soft- and hardware updates necessary • some technical problems occurring at this moment • Identification of options for continous data downloading • Planning • Aiming to have new setup and maintenance up and running by end of this year.

Leuven rain gauges • Current activities • Identification of potential new locations (4 additional gauges) • Identification of potential communication options (realtime downloading) at existing and new locations • Contact with potential suppliers • Planning • Aiming to have everything up and running around February.

Leuven Radar and rain gauges • Current activities • Cleanup and structured processing of all rainfall data from previous years (90% done) • Planning • Data processing done by end of 2011 • Investigate wind effects on existing rain gauges by comparing with RMI data • Planned January-February 2012

  7. Soft- and hardware • InfoWorks CS 2D + FloodWorks purchased • Procurement procedure for simulation PC to be started (purchase beginning 2012 ?)

  8. Data • Models to be updated and refined (starting January 2012) • Details on DHM to be investigated (January 2012)

  10. Involvement of third parties • Meetings with municipalities of Leuven and Herent planned (December)
