  1. What are the post revolution norms or expectations of Iranian societal institutions such as schools, religion, families, and government, and how did they impact the citizens of Iran, the U.S., and/or the rest of the world? By: Chyna Arnold

  2. Family • Fathers are usually the head of the household and, and main decision maker. • Mothers are responsible for taking care of the children, preparing meals and managing the home. • Women are becoming very independent, as the obtain higher education , urban women work as doctors or lawyers while rural women work as weavers or on the farm.

  3. Religion • Since the 1979 revolution the mullahs maintained a conservative and fundamental interpretation of Islam. People who are other religions are allowed to keep with there beliefs, they are required to civil law based on Islamic principles

  4. Government • Iran is a theocratic republic • Conservatives are not considering reconciling with Islamic ruling with democratic norms, and believe that Iran should stick what they have been doing in 1979 revolution, by promoting Islamic Ideology and Persian culture. Schools
