  3. Benedict Arnold’s Life • Benedict Arnold was born in Norwich Connecticut 1741 • As a child Benedict was taken out of school for money reasons. • Benedict later went to England in 1781 20 years later he died from a nervous disease in London 1801.

  4. What did Benedict Arnold do? • Benedict Arnold fought in the revolutionary war. He was a general in the Continental army who were fighting for freedom from Britain. • As a general in the Continental army, Benedict captured Montreal and got the people from Canada to fight against the British. • Benedict became a British soldier because he wanted more rewards and recognition. • He helped the British seize control of West Point, an American fort on the Hudson River.

  5. How did Benedict Arnold affect History? • If it weren’t for Benedict the British might have won the revolutionary war and we would have to live by British Laws. • He won 2 battles and captured Fort Ticonderoga and Saratoga N.Y. from the British.

  6. How the people reacted to what Benedict Arnold did? • The people were surprised that Benedict became a British soldier because he was a great General for the Continental army. He then became a traitor and a part of the British army.
