Grammar • Possessive Pronouns -A possessive pronoun takes the place of a possessive noun. It shows who or what owns something. -Some possessive pronouns are used before nouns (my, your, his, her, its, our, your, their) -Some possessive pronouns can stand alone (mine, yours, his, hers, its, ours, yours, theirs)
Examples • The houses in her village are small. • Robert and I went there for our vacation last winter. • That is your book, but this one is mine. • The award is hers.
