  2. Ancient Greece • Ancient Greece lasted from 8000 B.C.E to 30 B.C.E. • Ancient Greece lasted 7970 years.

  3. Mythology • There are lots of different kinds of gods. For instance, Titans, Olympians, Other gods, and weird creatures. • Greek Mythology is the myths and legends belonging to the ancient Greeks, including their gods, heroes, the nature of the world, and their own cult and ritual practices.

  4. Food • The national dishes of Greece include: Fasolada, Feta Cheese, Moussaka, and Saganaki. • The most characteristic and ancient element of Greek cuisine is olive oil, which is frequently used in most dishes.

  5. War • The Greeks had were incredible warriors. • Some of the wars that they fought were the battles at Thermopylae, Marathon, and Salamis.

  6. Children • If a child was born unhealthy or sick, it was left outside to die. • Once they turn seven, girls had to learn domestic skills and boys had to go to school. • The children usually played with dolls, spinning tops, hoops and yo-yos.

  7. Sports • There were the Greek Olympics and Men often trained very hard at gyms to practice for it. • There was usually the long jump, throwing the discus, javelin, boxing, wrestling, chariot races, and even poetry or drama competitions. • The Olympics winner would receive a wreath to wear on their head.

  8. School • Only the boys went to school since the girls were needed to learn domestic skills. • Reading, writing, math, poetry, sports, and gymnastics were taught at school. • For writing, the students uses papyrus.

  9. Homes • Greek houses were built with mud bricks and had pottery tiles for the roof. • The floor was built out of mosaic or plaster. • The windows were built high so that thieves could not break in.
