The COPAS Convention • The Council and the majority of the committees only meet at the Fall and Spring Convention. • Meetings start Tuesday with the Board of Directors, APA Exams and the Leadership Dinner. • National Committees meet Wednesday – Thursday. • The Council meets Friday morning.
The COPAS Convention • A Reception is generally held Wednesday night. • Sightseeing tours and shopping events are usually available for spouses. • A banquet is traditionally held on Thursday night.

Council Meeting • 21 Societies present out of 23 total • Membership stands at 2912 members • New Directors for 2007 are Karla Bower of Houston, Lynn Boyer of Fort Worth, and Sandra Hoggard of San Antonio • Members of the 2007 Nominating Committee are Spence Garner of Fort Worth, Kern Goss of Houston, and Kathleen Sheets of Dallas • Howard Blunk is chairing the Electronic Document Review Special Committee • APA Exams available to take via computer in 2007 • Jeff Alcott awarded Bob Wilkinson of Tulsa the Eagle Award for his outstanding service over the last year. • Outgoing committee chairpersons were recognized including Brenda Thompson (Education), Marvinette Ponder (Revenue), and Jane Schulte (Small Oil & Gas)
