  14. 2011-2012 CRCT Goals- Change in CRCT Reading 92.2% Math 82.2% These were our school wide goals beginning the year. With the new changes in the criteria and the outcomes being determined by all subject areas, we are not sure where we stand just yet. Retests are Tuesday and Wednesday. 3rd grade still is our biggest challenge. We have been working with 3rd and 5th in differentiated small groups all year. That is our largest pocket of low achievers and SWD. Teachers have used the data from NWEA to drive instruction.

  15. Shifting to a Growth Model • NWEA MAP testing • Adaptive computer testing • Specific instruction tailored to individual needs • Measured growth • Tests given in the fall, winter, and spring • The individualized student target goal is based on each child making one school year’s growth regardless of level.

  22. Root Cause Analysis • According to the NUA Instructional Assessment, UPE administration and teachers identified four areas for root causes of the low performance. These all relate directly to classroom instruction: increasing students’ motivation to learn, helping students think at higher levels, helping students write more effectively, and learning how to give students feedback more effectively. • The staff development site plan goals include developing the use of portfolios, focusing on collaborative team meetings, and using student work to assess the effectiveness of instruction. • We are currently revisiting these goals and evaluating our performance this year. Expectations have been raised for all teachers to meet the goals and concrete individual and team plans are being developed and systematically monitored. • Moving to the STEaM instructional delivery model directly relates to the site plan goals.
