The Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network is an initiative of the Pennsylvania Department of Education working in partnership with families and local education agencies to support programs and services to improve student learning and achievement. PaTTAN’s Mission
Our goal for each child is to ensure Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams begin with the general education setting with the use of Supplementary Aids and Services before considering a more restrictive environment. PDE’s Commitment to Least Restrictive Environment (LRE)

PDE Conference -- Poster Session for Individual Student Success, including Assistive Technology and Inclusive Practices-Thursday, January 13, 2011 • Action: Assist in identifying, recruiting and assisting school teams in developing and displaying posters.
Include Me From the Start • Consultants working with schools in 30 SD • Utilizing SaS Consideration Toolkit and School Level Needs Assessment • Finalizing identification of student teams and schools • Webinar is available for administrators to view • Problem solving/troubleshooting
Mini-Grants • 09-10 Tier 1 – received, some approvals, some revisions needed • MPL – in process of receiving and reviewing
LRE on-site TA Data reporting • Continue reporting supports to SD identified as LRE Tier 1, 2 or 3 through June, 2011 • We will revisit at that point any changes • This will give us a complete data set for two full years plus an additional ½ year.
