  1. MY WEBSITE

  2. The 5 Elements That I Demonstrated: 1. Colour Scheme 2. Easily accessible information 3. Good/Effective Visuals 4. Simple layout 5. Good Content My website was about teen use of social media today, and the next few slides are about the 5 elements of web design that I feel best demonstrated the above.

  3. Element 1: Colour Scheme The website contains a repeated colour palette. Colours do not take away from content/ aren’t hard to read.

  4. Element 2: Easily Accessible Information Navigation bar at top allows easy access to all pages.

  5. Element 3: Good/Effective Visuals Not too many visuals, however with the layout, any images that are added are enhanced.

  6. Element 4: Simple Layout Design is a simple white/gray theme, and isn’t not too crowded or cluttered.

  7. Element 5: Good content Each page is filled with information that relates to the theme of the website.

  8. Most challenging & favourite part? Most challenging part: Not being able to figure out how to code a certain part, instead of avoiding it I researched how to do it & solved the problem. The part that I’m most proud of: overall design, I’m really happy with how it turned out & its functionality (ex. Getting from one page to another, page’s design)

  9. HTML & CSS learnt? • HTML: How to add lines/divders in between posts & separate “blog” posts &how to format a navigation bar. • CSS: style fonts & how to style the titles/headers, and link hover/transitions.

  10. Conclusion: In conclusion, I think my website demonstrated: • A constant colour scheme • Easily accessible information • Good visuals • Simple Layout • Good Content Making this website was a good learning experience, and I know a lot more than I did just 2 weeks ago & I feel a lot more comfortable with coding.
