  4. Weekly Routine • Monday: DOL/literature, writing & other good stuff • Tuesday: Journal/Writing Workshop • Wednesday: Quote/similar to Monday • Thursday: Wiki Grammar/Writing Workshop • Friday: TGIF Song/Quiz/Reading Workshop

  5. The Not-So-Important Info About Me • I have a black cat named Rambo. • My favorite shows are The Office, The Simpsons, & Grey’s Anatomy. (Guilty pleasures = American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, & Gossip Girl…) • I love movies, music, popcorn, karaoke & reading. • English has been my favorite subject since 6th grade. • I dreamt about being a teacher since I was 4. • I will FINALLY finish my Masters at CSUN in May. (We will have a celebration!)

What You Actually Need to Know • I am strict but fair, and I expect nothing but the best effort and behavior out of each and every student. • I appreciate humor in the classroom, but please make sure it’s at the appropriate time. • I am here to help you and your peers succeed, so it’s in your best interest to not interrupt our learning time with unnecessary and inappropriate behavior.

  8. Some Miscellaneous Info • If you have ever felt something nasty under your desk, or saw the colorful array of gum while participating in the district-wide disaster drill, then you know gum is a major problem…NO GUM!!! • Cell phones should be turned off, not set on silent or vibrate. I have been known to take phone calls and return text messages that have been sent during class. • I-pods, toys, stuffed animals, make-up, money, food, etc. will be confiscated if they are out and/or become a distraction.

  9. Don’t Forget • Have your parent(s) read the guidelines and sign/return them. Your guidelines should then be place in your notebook for future reference.
